Kristen Stewart and Timothée Chalamet shunned traditional tux and gowns ensembles for the 94th Academy Awards on Sunday.
The 31-year-old actress, who is nominated for Best Actress this evening, arrived at the Dolby Theatre in a pair of super chic shorts, a unbuttoned white shirt and a tailored black blazer.
Timothée, 26, ditched the shirt completely for his choice of outfit on Sunday night - flashing his chest in an open sparkly black jacket.
Fans watching at home praised the two stars for injecting a bit of fun and fashion on the red carpet - normally dominated by full-length ball gowns and formal black tuxedo suits.
Kristen, 31, looked incredible as she posed for pictures ahead of finding out if she will pick up an award for her portrayal of the late Princess Diana in 'Spencer'.
The actress wore her blonde tresses pushed to one side and her white shirt open to her midriff, as she made her way into the venue in the striking ensemble.
"Rule Breaker Outfit Kirsten Stewart Is Rocking," one fan gushed on Twitter, noting that the star hadn't opted for a traditional gown like many often do.
A second commented: "No fussy gown. No barely-there sheer shift. #KirstenStewart premieres a tuxedo short suit on the #redcarpet Love to see something different - prom anyone?? - even though I don’t like its casual vibe."
"Kirsten Stewart in SHORTS? iconic," another mused, with an additional fan adding: "Low key love Kirsten Stewart’s look #Oscars."
Actor Timothée also prompted social media to discuss his red carpet look ahead of the awards starting.
The Don't Look Up actor, 26, turned heads in his Louis Vuitton ensemble - consisting of no shirt, black trousers, boots and a sequinned lace jacket.
"i’d like to thank whoever made this outfit, timothée chalamet’s parents, and god #Oscars2022," one admiring fan captioned a shot of the star on Twitter.
"Timothée Chalamet my jaw:on the floor. no words to describe how fine this man is," another added, with a third quipping: "Guys...breathe. Timothee Chalamet is shirtless under his blazer."
Amy Schumer will be co-hosting the upcoming event alongside icons Wanda Sykes and Regina Hall - the first time in three years the Oscars has had a host.
Amy appeared on The Drew Barrymore Show to discuss providing entertainment for the night all while raising awareness on the important issues happening around the world.
“I think there is definitely pressure in one way to be like, ‘This is a vacation, let people forget we just want to have this night,’ but it is like well we have so many eyes and ears on this show,” she told the host.
"I think it’s a great opportunity to at least comment on a couple of things. I have some jokes that kind of highlight the sort of current condition. I mean, there are so many awful things happening that it seems hard to focus on which one."
