Kourtney Kardashian’s Las Vegas wedding to Travis Barker has been met with praise by her momager Kris Jenner in a major U-turn.
The 43-year-old mum-of-three said “I do” in a secret late night ceremony at the One Love Chapel, officiated by an Elvis impersonator – something she was warned not to do with her ex Scott Disick.
In a huge one-eighty bombshell, Kris Jenner has apparently voiced her approval over the nuptials.
“Kris is really please,” a source told New. “She isn’t cross at all. She couldn’t be happier for them and it’s just what the family needed.
“Travis is adorable – they all really love him. And Kourtney is so smitten and in love with him.”
The praise is a huge U-turn for Kris who was staunch in her disapproval of Kourtney having a quick Vegas wedding with Scott in 2007.
At the time, Kris voiced her anger that Kourtney was even considering having the ceremony.
“This is wrong,” she ranted, expressing her concern 15 years ago.
“You’ve got hot pink flowers and you’re standing under plastic roses. I know you. It’s not about the things. I don’t mean to make it about that, but this feels wrong.
“You’re rushing it. [Caitlyn] isn’t here. Your little sisters [Kendall and Kylie] aren’t here. They’d die if they weren’t your bridesmaids. Where is [Scott’s] family? This is about family!”
But an insider has now claimed that Kris feels her daughter is in a much different place to back then and is not worried about Kourtney “rushing” into things.
“Kourtney was a lot younger back then. But it’s a different story now. She’s grown up and has her kids. This time it’s right place, right time. Kris is so supportive and this is what they wanted to do,” the source told the publication.
The reality TV star and Blink-182 rocker got engaged in October 2021 after a whirlwind nine month romance and have been packing on the PDA everywhere they can ever since.
Their most recent can’t keep their hands off each other moment was at last week’s Grammys .
After tonguing each other on the red carpet, the couple secretly tied the knot .
It has since emerged the pair married without a licence, which is allowed in Las Vegas but means the union doesn’t have any legal standing.
