James McFadden left Kris Boyd raging after declaring that Jota is currently the best player in Scotland.
The Portuguese winger and Alfredo Morelos have been the subject of discussion with pundits and fans alike at loggerheads over who takes top spot on the list of best players in Scottish football at the moment.
Jota and the Rangers striker have been stood up against each other in a tough contest to crown the winner, reports The Daily Record.

And after Kris Boyd shut down ex-Hoops midfielder Scott Allan's point of view during the pair's Sky Sports pundit duties last week, McFadden felt obliged to share his thoughts.
Speaking after Celtic's convincing 5-0 victory over Kilmarnock at Rugby Park on Sunday, the former Scotland international was full of praise for Jota. The Portuguese star got his name on the scoresheet in Ayrshire, but it was not only his goal scoring abilities that influenced McFadden's decision.
Speaking on Sky Sports following Celtic's 5-0 victory over Kilmarnock at Rugby Park on Sunday, McFadden said: "He's a player you just love to watch because he's unpredictable. He can go left, he can go right. He can create chances.
"There is no doubt he has got so much better and that comes from the fact that he's made the decision to come permanent to Celtic. The fact that Celtic have paid the money and showed belief in his as well. There is no doubt he will get better and better.
Turning to Kris Boyd, he added: "And I did watch last week. He's the best player in the league. No doubt about it."
The tease follows Boyd's comments last week where he dismissed the Celtic winger as the best player in the league, adding his own candidate, Rangers' Alfredo Morelos, in the mix. And he was left looking particularly disgruntled by McFadden's take.
Boyd had said: “Jota the best player in the league? I’m not too sure about that. Who would I go for? Let’s just say he came back and scored yesterday!” He responded as Scott Allan branded Jota top dog when discussing the current Scottish champions' victory against Ross Country during Sky Sports coverage of the Edinburgh derby last week.
The comments have sparked much discussion that has continued throughout the week and into this weekend, with McFadden having his say on Sunday.
