Kris Boyd watched Celtic rip through Hibs in relentless fashion on Wednesday night - and his pundit peer was quick to remind him of his beloved Rangers' next task.
The Glasgow derby is just around the corner and Michael Beale's team in second recorded a routine 3-0 win over Motherwell thanks to Alfredo Morelos, Connor Goldson and Malik Tillman to make it four Premiership wins on the bounce ahead of what may be a defining match in the title race. Celtic meanwhile asserted their dominance at the top thanks to an Aaron Mooy double plus Daizen Maeda and Kyogo Furuhashi efforts, sitting nine clear ahead of Monday's derby at Ibrox.
Boyd was on punditry duties on for Sky Sports and as he finished assessing the tough choices Hoops boss Ange Postecoglou will need to make, former Scotland international McFadden jumped in with an 'are you worried already' question. Boyd was prompt in his response, saying 'I'm not worried, come on!'
The Rangers hero admits though that the champions have so much talent at their disposal and could play a range of players come the big day. But he reckons Matt O'Riley could find himself starting on the bench for just the second time this season, such is the competition in midfield.
Boyd added: "It's an interesting one come Monday now for Celtic. When you look at it, the guys in the middle of the park here did really well and does he go back to Josip Juranovic at right-back?
"I think he will with Ryan Kent there. You would expect Reo Hatate to go back into the middle of the pitch, so who is missing out?
"It's an excellent problem if you are a manager. Aaron Mooy's gone and scored two goals, Callum McGregor plays. Is O'Riley the one to miss out as Hatate plays?"
