Kourtney Kardashian has said IVF treatment triggered early menopause.
The reality TV star, 42, made the revelation in the upcoming series of Keeping Up With The Kardashians.
In the clip, she confided in her mother Kris Jenner about her struggles to have child with her fiancé Travis Barker.
She has three children - Mason, Penelope and Reign - with her ex-partner Scott Disick.
She said: “Travis and I want to have a baby, and so my doctor took us down this road of doing IVF.
“It hasn’t been the most amazing experience. The medication they’re giving me, they put me into menopause... Literally into menopause”.
Kardashian also said hit out at the “rude” comments made on social media about her appearance.
It comes after Instagram followers questioned whether the star was pregnant.
She continued: “Every single person on social media is always like “Kourtney’s pregnant, Kourtney’s pregnant, Kourtney’s gained so much weight.
“It’s so rude to comment on people when you have no idea what they’re actually going through.”
The menopause is when a woman stops having periods and is no longer able to get pregnant naturally.
It is a natural part of ageing that usually occurs between 45 and 55 years of age as a woman’s oestrogen levels decline.
The clips of the star emerged following the release of the first official trailer for KUWTW on Monday.
Although her relationship with Barker will feature in the new series, Kardashian said she wanted to “protect” her relationship with him.
“I definitely hold my relationship really close. It’s so sacred to me and I am very protective of it. I think I’ve learned a lot of lessons,” she previously said.
“There is a lot of us on there, and we’ve had such a good time doing it because we have such a good time when we’re together, but I definitely want to protect it as much as I can. But also, this is my life.”
