Kourtney Kardashian admits 'intense mom guilt' as she talks benefit of separated parents

Kourtney Kardashian has revealed she feels "intense mom guilt" because of her busy schedule.

The 43-year-old reality TV star is also the co-founder of POOSH and shares three kids with ex-partner Scott Disick.

Speaking to Gwyneth Paltrow on The Goop Podcast, the eldest Kardashian sister explained how she'd just returned home from what she thinks is the longest time away from her kids.

The star had been on a nine-day trip and said she felt anxious about spending so much time apart from her children, but confessed the experience was made easier by ex Scott being a good dad.

Of Scott having the kids to stay, she said: "I don't feel as guilty. It's not like if they were home with a nanny, I think I would not have been able to leave town or had extreme guilt. I get really intense mom guilt."

Kourtney may have recently married Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker, but she and Gwyneth both agreed that co-parenting with an ex helps relieve levels of guilt.

"That's one of the benefits," Kourtney admitted.

However, it doesn't always make it easier for blended families she said as she confessed her and Travis aren't rushing to put all their kids under the same roof.

"We live a block away from each other," she continued. "So that's why we're kind of in that place of like, everyone loves their own home. We are a block away so it's a nice thing and then the days when [the kids] at their dad's I can always be [at Travis'].

"I think it's hard to know what’s the right thing to do, what's the best thing to do and then we're like, 'Let's have rooms at each house for everybody. Let's make a bunk bed room and let's do all the stuff.' So I think we're taking the steps but we're also really mindful of everyone also being happy and not feeling out of place."

She said the pair will simply take their time and move at a time which feels best for everyone.

Any future decision will be made with their children's input, Kourtney insisted.

She added: "Even this morning I said to my kids, 'How does everyone feel about everything?' Just to check-in. Or like, 'Do you guys have any questions?' Just having those conversations."
