Thomas Tuchel's pre-season is starting to take shape. His side are one friendly down, two new signings up and have had contestants leave the camp. The feeling of a reality TV show on Chelsea's tour is real.
With the news that Billy Gilmour and Harvey Vale would be leaving the Las Vegas setup to travel to Chelsea's Development squad in Salt Lake City, it feels that Tuchel is now getting to the real decision-making time, especially as his team have been joined by Raheem Sterling and Kalidou Koulibaly.
The squad being used now, minus Armando Broja who went home due to injury - though transfer speculation clouds his movements - is one that will make up a large part of the Blues early season fixtures. There could still be extra defensive reinforcements, but the early whittling down has already happened, and Tuchel appears to be cutthroat.
