Kolkata: The Sealdah Court has approved the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) prayer for extending the police custody of former RG Kar Medical College principal Sandip Ghosh and Tala Police Station Officer-in-Charge Abhijit Mondol by three days.

During the hearing on Tuesday, the CBI lawyer stated that Ghosh and Mondol are subjected to further investigation regarding call recording, DVR, CCTV, and other data related to the case and that custodial interrogation was required in this case.
