Passengers in First AC of Howrah-New Delhi Rajdhani Express will find a different kind of bedding waiting for them this festive season. Eastern Railway has swapped standard blankets for floral comforters on the train, widely known as Kolkata Rajdhani Express, starting October 11, 2026.

The change comes days before Durga Puja, when trains between Kolkata and Delhi fill up fast. Railways says the move is meant to make long journeys cleaner and more comfortable, and to lift the overall experience on board.
