KOLKATA: Presidency University has formed a high-powered committee with seven members to inquire into the incidents that occurred last week. Arun Maiti, the dean of students, is the nodal officer to liaison with the committee.
Last Thursday, there was a scuffle between students allegedly affiliated to TMCP and students affiliated to Students Federation of India (SFI) and Independent Consolidation (IC) on the campus. This was followed by TMCP supporters from outside the campus blocking gates of university and beating up students, while they were going home on Thursday and Friday.
