KOLKATA: The Ultadanga traffic bottleneck appears to be over with the Kolkata Police commissioner Vineet Goyal intervening himself. A consensus emerged on how autos should take the U-turn at Ultadanga crossing that was otherwise hampering the movement of vehicles.
Cops have been trying to decongest the area, with Goyal himself visiting the spot twice — the latest on Monday evening — to take stock of the situation. Last week, Goyal asked his men to act tough and ensure that all traffic rules are strictly obeyed by the auto operators.
