Kolkata flight count set to soar by 50% in a month as carriers plan more operations

KOLKATA: The flight count at Kolkata airport is set to soar by more than 50% in a month with daily flight operations set to increase by 140-150 movements (departures and arrivals) by March-end.

At present, the airport is clocking 260-280 arrivals and departures daily. This is set to climb to 300-320 in the next fortnight and then zoom past the 400-mark in a month, airline officials at Kolkata airport said.
