KOLKATA: The city airport is ready to kick off a crucial project that will help increase flight operation capacity by 20% and allow seven to eight additional arrivals and departures per hour.
Even as air travel is returning to pre-Covid levels, the enhanced capacity can put the airport back on a growth path, and help achieve over 600 flight movements a day when demand booms after scheduled international flights are reintroduced.
