KOCHI: Weather stations will be installed in 13 schools in the district to help students learn more about geography. The stations are being installed as part of the 100 days programme of the state government.
The project envisages to give students more insight into climate and climate change.
Each school will be given with Rs 48,225 for installing the station. The nodal officer will be the geography teacher in the school. Equipment to gauge rain, weather and pressure will be there in the stations, which are coming up in 11 higher secondary schools and two vocational higher secondary schools. tnn
