Klich's death stare, Kristensen's touchline coaching and Leeds United moments you missed

Marsch gets stuck into Hjelde

When the ball went dead in the 16th minute, Jesse Marsch was on the edge of his technical area, doubled over, bellowing instructions out to the field. Leo Hjelde, making his first start since January 9, slotted into left-back from the start.

As the Whites prepared to challenge a throw-in, Marsch was screaming at him to stay higher and tuck in. In the 30th minute, Marsch would call Hjelde over from the far touchline for an even more in-depth outline of what he needed to do better.

Klich’s death stare

In the 18th minute, Barnsley miscontrolled the ball and saw it go out for a throw-in. The ball travelled to Michael Duff in the Barnsley technical area and as it reached him he gave it a backheel further away down the sideline.

The knock-on made Mateusz Klich walk further to retrieve the ball and he was not impressed. He gave the former Cheltenham Town boss a real death stare as he went past him as if to say ‘what’s the point of that, you child?’

Kristensen’s coaching

At half-time, as the players made for the tunnel, there was some feedback for Cody Drameh. The young right-back may want Rasmus Kristensen’s shirt, but the Dane was on hand to give the former Fulham man some advice as they walked down the touchline.

Gesturing with his hands, Kristensen was evidently trying to tell Drameh how he could have done something a little bit better.

Rodrigo’s ovation

Fresh from his fourth goal in three matches, the Premier League’s top goalscorer was given a rapturous welcome when he finally trotted out for a warm-up in the second half. Rodrigo had kept his head down in the dugout for the first hour of the match, but when he finally emerged down the touchline his exploits were fully acknowledged by the crowd.
