Kitten stuck inside car engine rescued by police with unlikely tool

A tiny kitten stuck inside a car’s engine in Georgia was rescued by a police officer using an unlikely tool.

Footage shared by Hall County Sheriff’s Office shows officer Nick Jackson trying to coax the cat out of its hiding space on Tuesday, 16 June.

Jackson went over to investigate after he saw two women standing by a car with its hood open.

Using a drumstick, Jackson rescued the kitten from behind the engine and lifted it to safety.

The women were first alerted to the cat when they heard meowing coming from under the hood. They found three kittens in total, explaining that they were unsure how they got inside the vehicle.
