KitchenAid has cut the cord on their new range of kitchen appliances – here's everything you need to know

KitchenAid Go Cordless range: the coffee grinder, immersion blender, food processor, hand mixer, vacuum, and personal blender on a beige-gray background.

KitchenAid has been gracing our kitchens with their timeless designs and premium appliances for over a century. With the launch of six, new, cordless appliances, I expect they'll be our favorite kitchen staples for even longer.

The brand has announced the launch of their new Go Cordless line which covers six different appliances: a hand mixer, hand blender, food chopper, personal blender, coffee grinder, and kitchen vacuum. All these sleek and smart appliances are powered by one removable, rechargeable 12 Volt battery.

It's simple. You don't need to wind up long wires or always be in proximity to a plug, you can take the food chopper out to the BBQ when you're eating in the sun; bring the blender with you to work; grind coffee in the office; and use all the other appliances wherever, whenever.

Our experts can't wait to cut the cord with KitchenAid's stylish appliances (we've already got our tests of these lined up). Corded, KitchenAid's appliances make up some of the best hand mixers, coffee gadgets, and personal blenders on the market. Now that they're completely portable and versatile, kitchen plugs will be a thing of the past.

What is the KitchenAid Go Cordless line?

KitchenAid has designed the Go Cordless system to cover all your cooking and baking tasks without needing to be tied to a plug. Each matte black appliance is compatible with the same, rechargeable battery, so you'll only need one to share between the hand mixer, portable blender, food chopper, immersion blender, coffee grinder, and kitchen vacuum.

The lithium-ion battery comes with a USB-C charging cable, with an indicator light that will let you know when you need to charge the battery as well as when it's finished. At full power, the battery will give you three hours of run time.

Here's a little more about what your battery will be able to power:

Where can I buy the KitchenAid Go Cordless line?

All of the Go Cordless line, including the batteries are available on KitchenAid's website and that's the best place you can pick up all of them at once. You'll be able to find the appliances on Amazon and at third party retailers, where there might be discounts too, but if you want everything in one place, KitchenAid is the best place to look.

Are cordless kitchen appliances worth it?

KitchenAid's Go Cordless line is a selection of the most useful appliances to take with you on the go. Once you're emancipated from plug sockets and wires, you can wander around the kitchen and use these when needed. For example, if you've got a soup on the stove and not a plug nearby, you can use the immersion blender directly into the pan, without having to move the pan around. Equally, if you want to whip cream on the kitchen island (which doesn't have a plug) you can use the hand mixer or food chopper without any fuss.
