Kirstie Allsopp says she was forced to throw a 'flying' banana skin back into the car of a littering motorist in Stockport, as she took to Twitter to complain about roadside rubbish.
The TV presenter said she noticed the problem while travelling around the UK over several weeks recently, but singled out Stockport as the scene of a particularly shocking incident.
"In the last few weeks, travelling around the UK, I’ve been horrified by how bad roadside litter has become," she wrote on the social media platform. "Why is litter so much worse, who thinks chucking an empty red bull, for example, out of a moving car is acceptable?"
