The Kirkin’ of the Deacon Convener of the Haill Six Incorporated Trades of Kirkcudbright took place on Sunday.
The colourful procession helped brighten up a very wet morning in the Artists’ Town.
The parade was led by Ian D Swan – re-elected deacon convener at the AGM – and also featured local councillors Andy McFarlane and Dougie Campbell, Provost Lesley Garbutt, Irvine Incorporated Trades and York Cordwainers.
The company proceeded along the High Street, led by Pipe Major Glen Cunningham, to Sunday worship in the Parish Church.
