Kirkcudbright Community Tennis Club is offering new and exciting tennis taster sessions this spring.
LTA coach Ryan from Mark Sindall Tennis Coaching and Racket Services will be running the course.
The weekly sessions start on Thursday, April 27 and will run for four weeks.
The day includes two 45-minute Toddlers Tennis slots from 9.30am to 11am and comprise fun-related tennis activities for adults and children aged three and over.
An hour-long walking tennis session will run until noon followed by a 45-minute tennis access course for those with physical or learning challenges.
The afternoon will feature Tea, Talk and Tennis – informal coaching for regular players providing a chance to learn different skills every week.
The access course, a new initiative sponsored by Dumfries and Galloway Disability Sport Development and Tennis Scotland’s Open Your Doors programme, is designed to show Kirkcudbright’s commitment to reach out to the wider community.
Meanwhile, the new tennis season is under way with opportunities for everyone to take part.
Two new six-week adult courses start on Sunday, April 23, available to both members and non-members.
Tennis Improvers is for those players who have covered the basic skills and are seeking to improve their level and is suitable for singles and doubles players.
Tennis Xpress is for adult beginners or those who have not played for a while and are a bit rusty.
All equipment is supplied and the courses are led by an LTA coach.
Booking for all sessions is online at the club’s website clubspark.lta.org.uk/KirkcudbrightcommunityTennisClub or email kbtcommtennis@gmail.com
