People in Kirkcudbright and Castle Douglas will have the chance to find out more about the UK National Road Cycling Championships next week.
The competition is set to come to the Stewartry later this month, with Kirkcudbright holding the circuit race championship and Castle Douglas the road race.
When The Tour Series came to Castle Douglas last year, some business owners were unhappy with the disruption and believed the road closures lost them trade.
Next week’s meetings, involving council officials and British Cycling, will let people know more about the events, including the planned road closures.
They’ll be in the Johnston in Kirkcudbright at 7pm on Tuesday, June 7 before heading to Castle Douglas Community Centre the following day. Business owners will be able to pop in between 4pm and 6pm with a presentation and question and answer session from 7pm.
Castle Douglas will host the road race on July 26.
