Kinross-shire trained Corach Rambler wins the Grand National

Corach Rambler has won the 2023 Grand National.

The horse trained at Lucinda Russell’s Arlary House Stables in Kinross-shire, ridden by jockey Derek Fox, jumped the last perfectly to storm clear for Aintree victory.

Corach Rambler had been the pre-race favourite and showed exactly why to follow in the footsteps of One for Arthur who had taken the crown back in 2017.

Following that win six years ago, a One for Arthur beer tap had been installed down the local pub in Milnathort.

Trainer Russell, in the build-up to this year’s race, had voiced hopes of adding a Corach Rambler cider tap. That wish may very well come true now.

Certainly toasting the win tonight will be the seven owners, who include Comrie’s Keith Garwood and Ally Wood from Kinross.

Second place at the Grand National went to Vanillier and third to Gaillard du Mesnil.
