King sends message to Trump and Americans on 250th anniversary of independence

The King has sent his “warmest congratulations” to US President Donald Trump and the American people in a message marking the 250th anniversary of America’s independence from Britain, which he called “a truly historic milestone and a moment of great celebration for Americans everywhere”.

Charles added that he and the Queen were “proud, and honoured, to be able to celebrate this special anniversary during our visit to the United States in April”.
