A video of a King's Guard screaming at a tourist as she slaps his horse has gone viral, as people are divided over who was in the wrong.
The moment a King's Life Guard yelled at the young woman was caught on camera, after she appeared to slap the horse numerous times around the muzzle.
A young woman wearing a white and blue coat was filmed posing for a photo with a soldier who was stationed at Horse Guards Parade in London's Whitehall.
The unidentified woman can be seen standing next to the animal - ready to pose for a photo - as it moves its muzzle closer to her shoulder.
She then seems to brazenly slap the animal on the nose and grins for the camera, before putting her hands back in her pocket.
The horse then nears to her once again, as the woman repeatedly slaps it away.
By the third time, the King's soldier can be seen becoming agitated at her actions, and lashes out in response in front of the shocked crowd.
He screams "STAND BACK" while the horse stamps its feet on the ground.
The guard then shouts before another appears and yells even louder, causing startled tourists to part to let him through.
Footage of the moment has been shared on social media.
However, it has left viewers on TikTok divided over who was in the wrong.
While most people agreed that the woman deserved the public berating for distressing the horse and ignoring signs warning visitors to keep their distance, others have defended her.
One person said: "People need to remember that they're not an actual tourist attraction.
"They have a job and it's real. Winds me up so much."
Another said: "It worries me that people have forgotten what a guard is."
While another wrote: "These people are so disrespectful."
And a fourth chimed in saying: "What worries me, is that NO ONE in that crowd spoke up after the first slap, the guards are limited."
However, another user stuck up for the tourist.
They insisted that the guard's response was over the top, saying: "The horse was trying to bite her. It's a common redirection to push their nose up."
And another wrote: "I am sorry but she did not slap the horse. This is complete overreaction by the guards. Learn to control your horse from brushing the girl."
