King Charles wiped away tears from his eyes as he and Camila, Queen consort, walked into Buckingham Palace this afternoon following the death of Queen Elizabeth II.
They both arrived back in London from Scotland where they were met by thousands of people who had gathered to pay their respects to the Queen.
The crowds cheered and shouted 'God save the King' while Charles shook hands with those who were there.
