Prince Harry won't be relegated to the 'cheap seats' at the Coronation, a royal expert has revealed.
The Duke will face the family celebrations alone next month after it was confirmed his wife Meghan Markle and their children have opted to remain in Los Angeles.
It had been reported that the Royal Family would relegate Harry to a backseat role at the event in order to ensure the spotlight isn’t on him.
However, a royal insider has claimed this will not be the case and Harry will remain in close proximity to key members of The Firm rather than positioned with other 'non-working' members.
Royal biographer Robert Jobson said Harry will still be welcomed with open arms by his father and suggested it will be better for the duo that Meghan won't be in attendance.
In an interview with GB News, Jobson told journalist Camilla Tominey: “I don’t think he’ll be in ‘the cheap seats’, no.
“If you’re a mum or a dad, we know that we all love our kids equally whoever they are, wherever they've dumped you.
“He refers to his son Harry as my darling boy and has done that all the way. Harry acknowledges that in his books, so I think yes, he will try to have conversations with Harry I'm sure he will.
“And the fact that Meghan's not there will probably be more advantageous, at least they can speak more freely.”
Jobson, 59, acknowledged that he thinks Prince William will not be pleased about the reunion and lack of consequences for Harry’s words but that he will have to get on with it.
He said: “They are old enough to sort it out themselves. It's clear that William is not very happy about it.
“But at the end of the day, he is sworn to the King and if the King wants it, he should just get on with it and take orders.
“It's going to be a short reign - the king will be 75 in November. The fact is support your father and if your father wants you to try to build bridges, build bridges."
Jobson also revealed that Charles has previously said he doesn’t pay attention to opinion polls, referring to the new YouGov data this week that suggests younger people are not interested in the Royal Family.
He went on: “As the King said to me when I was in Australia, he doesn't pay attention to polls.
“He’s in it for the long term. If you're worried about polls, we would still be in Europe, because we were told that Brexit wouldn't happen.
“Young people are not interested in this King. But why would they be? It's not a real problem for our King because he's probably only going to be on the throne for a short while."
Earlier this week it was revealed that Prince Harry would attend his dad's coronation in May without his wife Meghan Markle.
Harry will be there at the coronation on May 6 but will play a minimal role.
Feuding brothers Harry and Prince William won't be seen in a camera shot together, an insider said.
Reports indicate Harry will be sat with other non-working members of the Royal Family and those he has no bad blood with. This includes the likes of Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie and their husbands.
He is not expected to take part in either the King’s Procession or the Coronation Procession to and from Buckingham Palace, nor will he be on the Buckingham Palace balcony.
Insiders said Harry was aware the historic occasion will be "pretty much the most important day" of the King's life.
According to sources, Harry wanted a summit with King Charles and Prince William to discuss their issues before the Coronation.
A source told The Mirror: "Harry has been very clear and his position hasn't wavered – he isn't going to come if he feels the atmosphere will be as toxic as it was during the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee and funeral.
"He's said he wants to reconcile with his family and it’s their call, but so far nothing has changed."
