The second funeral procession for the late Queen Elizabeth is underway, as a smaller congregation of 800 people gather in St George's Chapel for an emotional committal ceremony. The Queen 's coffin travelled from London to Windsor for the final time, leaving Westminster Abbey and travelling down the Mall through London to Wellington Arch as mourners lined the streets.
The late monarch's body then travelled in a hearse to St George's Chapel for a committal service conducted by Dean of Windsor David Conner, with a blessing from Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby. St George’s Chapel has been the centre of many royal events throughout history, including Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's wedding, King Charles and Queen Consort Camilla's wedding blessing, King George VI's burial and Prince Philips funeral.

In a poignant moment for the new monarch, King Charles III sat in the exact seat that the Queen sat alone in during her beloved husband Prince Philip's funeral in April 2020.
Due to Covid restrictions at the time, the late monarch was to grieve without her family close by her side, before returning to Windsor Castle to sit alone in her private room after the Duke of Edinburgh's funeral.
The photo of a solemn Queen sitting apart from other members of the royal family during the 50-minute service at St George's Chapel became a symbolic image of pain and sacrifice during the pandemic, as people across the country weren't permitted to mourn their loved ones together due to social distancing rules.
Covid restrictions meant Prince Philip's funeral had to be scaled down, with only 30 guests allowed in contrast with the estimated 800 originally planned to attend - the same number present at the Queen's committal service today.
At the end of the final Hymn at the late Queen's committal ceremony, King Charles III placed The Queen's Company Camp Colour of the Grenadier Guards on her coffin.
At the same time, The Lord Chamberlain "broke" his Wand of Office and placed it on the coffin as a final goodbye from her beloved staff.
Following the service at St George's chapel, the Queen will be reunited with her beloved husband, as they will both be buried at the King George VI Memorial Chapel in Windsor.
Prince Philip is currently in the Royal Vault in St George's Chapel, where the Queen's coffin has also been lowered as part of the historic procession.
The Duke of Edinburgh and Queen Elizabeth II will be buried together at the King George VI Memorial Chapel where King George VI, The Queen Mother and Princess Margaret are also buried.
The burial will take place during a private family service where royal members will pay their respects away from public view. The Queen's marble slab will be engraved ELIZABETH II 1926-2022.
