King Charles jokes about recent pen mishaps on Dunfermline visit

King Charles appeared to joke about his recent pen troubles in a witty remark to Queen Consort Camilla as they signed a guest book during an engagement in Dunfermline. Over the past few weeks, the new monarch has gone viral after suffering several mishaps while signing documents.

The first incident took place during a meeting of the Accession Council, where he was proclaimed King. He was left irritated when a pen tray got in his way as he added his name to the document, with His Majesty quickly signalling for an aid to move it.

The second occurred during a trip to Northern Ireland when a pen leaked all over his hand, causing the King to exclaim: "I can't bear this b****y thing ... every stinking time!". While visiting Dunfermline in Fife yesterday, Charles and the Queen Consort were presented with a visitors book to sign - although it appears His Majesty came prepared with his own pen this time, the Mirror reports.
