The United Kingdom will enjoy an extra bank holiday weekend later this year for the coronation of King Charles III. The coronation will take place at Westminster Abbey in London on Saturday, May 6.
A concert and laser light show will also be held at Windsor Castle on Sunday, May 7, as well as an extra bank holiday on Monday, May 8. Pubs, clubs and bars will also be able to stay open into the early hours over the weekend.
Home Secretary Sueella Braverman will extend licensing hours from 11pm until 1am. She said it was a "momentous occasion deserving of special celebration".
