The upcoming coronation of King Charles could finally put to bed the ongoing feud between the Sussexes and Windsors, according to an ex-friend of Meghan Markle.
In comments to The Mirror, the Duchess of Sussex's former friend Lizzie Cundy, 54, says the coronation could be a moment to boost morale and 'make Britain great again'.
The news comes after a spokesperson for the Duke and Duchess confirmed that the couple had been asked to move out of their UK home in Frogmore Cottage in a bid for Prince Andrew to take over the residency.
Lizzie believes that despite yearslong feud within the family, the coronation could help them come together.
Speaking to The Mirror, model Lizzie said: "I think the Coronation is coming at the right time.
"It will inject new life and positive feeling to our new King as it will bring the nation together over such tough times such as coronavirus, the high cost of living crisis and all the terrible interviews that Harry and Meghan have done against the King and the Royal Family.
"I think the public need to be reminded how amazing our monarchy is, it's like no other in the world and how we must respect it and see how good it is for our own country and what hid it does like helping so many charities."
The star continued: "This is exactly what this country needs at the minute.
"Harry and Meghan have done such harm, not just to the King but to Camilla our Queen, William and Catherine with all the stories on them from Netflix to Spare.
"Meghan and Harry don't stop and I think the public has had enough of them – it's time to celebrate our Royal Family, and I think the Coronation is coming just at the right time to boost morale and put to bed all the whingeing and moaning from Harry.
"Let's come together, unite as a country and make Britain great again!"
Harry and Meghan have been at the centre of the storm in the Royal Family since the couple officially announced in January 2020 they would be stepping back as senior working royals.
Now, reports claimed that Harry and Meghan were being "evicted" by King Charles and would be forced to have their belongings shipped to California where they now reside.
According to Omid Scobie, one of the authors behind Harry and Meghan, Finding Freedom, the King's decision came after Harry released his controversial memoir, Spare, worldwide in January.
He told Yahoo: "It’s news, sources tell me, that has left Harry and Meghan stunned, and at least two members of the Royal Family 'appalled'."
It has been claimed that Buckingham Palace let the Duke and Duchess know about the plan to take away the property from them just days after the tell-all memoir was published earlier this year.
Despite the fact the couple moved stateside in 2020 after stepping down as working royals, the Palace maintained that Frogmore Cottage was their official residence in the UK. The Sussexes have used it as a base when they returned to Britain over the past few years.
A royal insider told The Sun: "This surely spells the end of Harry and Meghan’s time in the UK. Andrew is resisting the idea of moving into Frogmore Cottage after he was offered it last week. But it shows Harry and Meghan are powerless to stop the eviction."
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have not held back in their opinions of the monarchy since their exit following Harry's bombshell memoir and their tell-all Netflix series which followed their groundbreaking Oprah Winfrey interview.
During the interview, which took place after they announced they were stepping down, the duchess, 41, and Harry, 38, made the shocking claim that a member of the Royal Family had made racist comments about their son Archie.
Former military man Harry also claimed during the Netflix docu-series he was knocked to the ground and shoved into a dog bowl by his older brother, Prince William, and accused his step-mother Camilla of leaking stories to the press.
