King appoints historian as Queen Elizabeth’s royal biographer

Anna Keay Queen Elizabeth II

Historian Anna Keay has been confirmed as the official biographer for Queen Elizabeth II.
The appointment grants Ms Keay extensive access to Royal Family members, the late Queen’s friends, household staff, and her personal and official papers held in the Royal Archives.
The confirmation follows earlier reports that the King sought a female author for the prestigious task.
Ms Keay expressed profound honour at being asked to write the biography, acknowledging Queen Elizabeth II as an extraordinary monarch whose life spanned a century of great change.
Known for her acclaimed work, The Restless Republic: Britain Without A Crown, Ms Keay also serves as a trustee of the Royal Collection Trust and a member of the Queen Elizabeth Memorial Committee.
