Kind-hearted Perthshire kid pledges to help charity by chopping long locks for first time

Wee Ryan Devers from Perthshire is five years old and has never had his hair cut - until now.

On Wednesday, May 31, by his own request, the youngster is getting the chop at Coco Belle in his hometown of Crieff.

Hairdresser Lisa is going to cut his shoulder-length blond curls.

Big-hearted Ryan has asked that the hair goes to the Little Princess Trust and that any money raised will help hard-up families.

Ryan’s mum Paula McDougall said on his JustGiving page: “Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

“We are raising money. My five-year-old son wants to have his hair cut. He has never had it cut before.

“When asked before if he was getting it cut, he would always say no to us.

“But then he choose to get it cut himself, so we thought we would do a fundraiser for it for the STV Appeal and we’re going to donate his hair to the Little Princess Trust.”

The STV Children’s Appeal, supported by STV and the Hunter Foundation, is campaigning to raise awareness and funds to tackle the serious issue of child poverty in Scotland.

Every penny donated to the STV appeal goes directly to helping the most vulnerable children in Scotland.

Anyone who can give Ryan support for his lovely gesture to help other kids can donate at www.justgiving.com/page/Paula-McDougall-1681830149539
