Kind Edinburgh bakery offer Ukrainian man and his family work and refuge in Scotland

An Edinburgh café want to bring a Ukrainian man and his family to Scotland to work at their shop.

Twelve Triangles on Brunswick Street made an emotional plea for help on Facebook today (March 9).

They say that they want to offer the Ukrainian baker a save haven in Edinburgh as the Russian occupation of his country continues.

A spokesperson for the bakery posted asking for advice and said the family are currently in Belarus.

In particular they asked for help in acquiring the family visas.

They said: "Does anyone have any advice or know anything about visas?

"We have a Ukrainian baker we are trying to help and for him to come and work with us.

"He and his family are Ukrainian nationals but are currently in Belarus.

"If you have any advice or can point us in the right direction please DM us."

The bakery can be contacted online on Facebook or Instagram.

Twelve Triangles are a compact little bakery in Brunswick Street that specialise in sourdoughs. They are open Monday to Sunday from early until 5pm.
