This year's Met Gala marks Kim Kardashian's first appearance at the glamorous event as a single lady.
The reality TV star, 42, first dazzled in front of the cameras on the Met's red carpet in 2013 when her then-fiance Kanye West was performing at the glitzy gala.
After the breakdown of her marriage in 2021, Kim attended last year's bash hand in hand with her new - and now former - beau Pete Davidson.
She shocked the world by turning up in Marilyn Monroe's iconic golden dress which was worn by the actress to sing happy birthday to John F Kennedy over 60 years ago.
However, she is expected to rock up to the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York for the latest shindig on Monday evening (May 1) with no man on her arm - and a dramatic new hairstyle.
That is the thought of fashion expert Megan Watkins who made the bold prediction to the Mirror, saying: "Kim's personal style has changed and evolved since her split from self-appointed stylist and ex-husband Kanye West.
"She is now relying on her own sartorial instincts, which can be daunting after years of relying on others for styling advice."
"As we saw last year with the Marilyn dress for the Gilded Glamour theme, Kim likes to go high-concept and really embrace the tone of the evening.
Megan, who is the Head Stylist at SilkFred, continued: "As this year is celebrating Karl Lagerfeld, I think we will see Kim go back to her structured, corsetry-inspired roots, as we saw in 2016, 2017 & 2018. I expect she will wear something that is form-fitting, classic and ultra-feminine and I wouldn't be surprised if we saw a dramatic hairstyle change too."
The fashionista went on to say she couldn't see Kim outdoing herself in the controversial stakes for her outfit as last year's choice still causes discussion.
Despite the furore that surrounded the choice of garment, Megan admitted it was actually toned down compared to her previous looks, including her 2013 curtains appearance and 2021's Balenciaga mask ensemble.
Speaking about Kim's apparent social media sneak peek earlier in the week Megan added: "This eyebrow-raising post is already causing conversation so it's likely her final ensemble will too."
While Kim is likely to stun on the red carpet, one person who usually does so but won't this time out is Blake Lively, who Megan described as the "undisputed darling of the Met Gala".
The actress revealed she won't be present at the event and will instead be watching from the comfort of her sofa.
The new mum-of-four joked that she would be doing so wearing her extravagant gown which stunned so many last time out.
