Kim Kardashian has apologised after she faced backlash for telling women in business to “get your f***ing a** up and work”.
Many people said the reality star was “tone deaf” and pointed out her privileged background may have helped her become a success.
Now the Keeping Up With The Kardashian star, 41, said she was sorry about the way her remarks were delivered but she insisted her words were taken out of context.
Kim Kardashian told @RobinRoberts in a new interview that the comments she made in a Variety profile earlier this month were "taken out of context." https://t.co/ARPBb5PsXn

She told Good Morning America: “It was taken out of context but I’m really sorry if it was received that way.”
The glamorous mum-of-four said she was asked about being “famous for being famous”.
“That statement that I said was without questions and conversations around it and it became a soundbite really with no context,” she added to host Robin Roberts.
“I came off of the notion and the question right before - which was, ‘after 20 years of being in the business, you’re famous for being famous’.
“My whole tone and attitude changed with the previous question that went into that question about what advice would [I] give to women.”
Kardashian’s remarks “get up and work” in a Variety interview went viral earlier this month.
At the time, she said in the clip: “I have the best advice for women in business. Get your f**king a** up and work. It seems like nobody wants to work these days...
“You have to surround yourself with people that want to work.”
The TV star revealed she had seized the opportunity to find happiness in her forties as she fell for the 28-year-old Saturday Night Live comedian.
“I think it’s just in life, no matter what it is, I encourage my friends and people that I love to be happy, and I went for it,” she explained on the Ellen DeGeneres Show.
“And I went for it! I was like ‘You know what? I’m in my forties, like f*** it.”
