Kim Kardashian seen texting a mystery man after her heartbreaking admission about love

Kim Kardashian appears to be getting back on the dating game as she was caught texting a new man after admitting she will "always want to be in love".

The 42-year-old reality star is keeping quiet about the identity of her potential new lover and he is known only by the pseudonym "Fred".

Kim was seen messaging the guy in the preview clip for next week's episode of The Kardashians.

The teaser begins with Kim having dinner with Scott Disick, where she tells him: "My friends wanted me to meet someone."

"Let's call this guy Fred," Scott suggests as Kim starts giggling. "Does he meet the standards?"

Kim gushes: "Oh he so meets the standards!"

In a confessional, Kim is then busy texting someone while getting her makeup done.

A producer asks: "Is that Fred?" with Kim confirming she is messaging the mystery guy.

The producer adds: "Two years my a**," referencing Kim's comments on Gwyneth Paltrow's Goop podcast where she said she is "taking my time" dating and wants "to be single for a few years".

The potential new love interest comes after Kim admitted she is a "hopeless romantic" who loves the idea of "creating a life with someone".

During an appearance on Jay Shetty's On Purpose podcast, Kim was asked if she would ever be in love again following her divorce from Kanye West and the breakdown of her relationship with Pete Davidson.

"I think I'll always be a hopeless romantic and always want to be in love and definitely love sharing my life with someone and love creating a life with someone.

"I definitely will take my time and I think there's so many factors, especially when you have kids and being mindful of people who enter into your life," she said.

Kim added: "I'll always believe in love and I'll always want that, but I think I'm so comfortable taking my time to not rush it.

"There's so much going on that I'm not lonely."
