Kim Kardashian suffered a fashion nightmare after attending the Met Gala on Monday evening as her Schiaparelli Pearl dress fell apart, with her pearls trailing on the ground.
As she made her way back to her hotel in New York things started to take a drastic turn as the stunning gown started to break away from the string which held it together.
Kim, 42, is no stranger to the Met Gala and attended the event hosted by Anna Wintour with her eldest daughter, North, nine, during her first outing as a single woman.
However, Kim later explained that North was watching her walk the famous carpet from the peace and tranquillity of a nearby car.
After stepping out of a minivan which transported the Kardashian mega-star to an after-party, strings of pearls could be seen hanging from the nude dress.
Kim looked stunned as she dashed into the Ritz Carlton hotel after her night was abruptly brought to a halt.
Pictures show Kim standing on what appeared to be a trail of pearls which glistened against the bustling streets of Manhattan as she looked down in disbelief.
In a bid to protect herself from falling and risking any more damage, Kim could be seen holding her dress up with one hand as she dashed into the expensive hotel.
But in true Kim style, the trainee lawyer still looked every inch the star as her makeup and her remained in perfect condition despite her obvious wardrobe malfunction.
Ahead of the grand event which this year featured the theme of Karl Lagerfeld in memory of the late Chanel designer, Kim teased that she would be wearing a spectacular number as she shared behind-the-scenes shots on her Instagram page.
Speaking at the event in New York, Kim explained that she was taking acting lessons ahead of her appearance on American Horror Story: Delicate.
She told Variety: "We start shooting my stuff at the end of this month but production has already started and I’m so excited."
When prompted on whether she had taken any classes, she responded: "I am, of course, it's a challenge, I like to challenge myself."
This isn't her first rodeo in the acting industry, having appeared as a voice-over role in Paw Patrol: The Movie in 2021, Temptation: Confessions of a Marriage Counselor in 2013 and Disaster Movie in 2008.
Despite her split from Pete Davidson, the pair appeared to be on good terms as they were seen engaging in conversation with one another.
