Kim Kardashian's hairstylist Chris Appleton has let fans in on a new ponytail hack for voluminous locks. While up-dos can make it appear like you're off to the gym rather than a smart look for work or an occasion, Chris has revealed his 'favourite' method for creating a bouncy and glamorous pony.
You may have seen the celebrity stylist in Keeping Up With The Kardashians, but Chris is also the man behind J-Lo's signature looks including the iconic Super Bowl blowdry, and has also worked with stars Dua Lipa and Arianna Grande. He's often sharing his secret tips to regular folk on social media though, and one of his latest videos - 'Try my favourite pony volume hack' - has racked up almost a million views - with users branding the easy method as 'life changing'.

Demonstrating the hack with a blonde model, the British hairdresser starts by parting the hair into a little ponytail and ties it securely with a bobble. He then loosens it and creates a hole above the bobble by parting the hair in two.
Chris then threads the little pony underneath and through the gap, before pulling it tight. The pony, positioned high on her head, then sits with heightened volume.
TikTok user Emily Eastham said: "Okay…. My life is about to change with this". Make-up artist Patrick Starrr replied: "Gorgeous!!"
Account Aquarius babeee wrote: "I really love when u do easy stuff like this ! I’ve been doing your bun for months !" while Kimberly GW responded: "Chris Appleton just saved my life".
TikTok user1006412670097 responded: "I do the other pony tail hack all the time!! I even got my daughter doing it". It comes after Chris first shared a pony hack at the start of the year, titled 'upgrading your pony game'.
He showed fans how to create a bouncy style by splitting the hair in two. "All you do is split the hair into two, and pull the top half up into a high ponytail, and secure with your elastic," he said in a previous clip.
"You then split the underneath into two, and pull it on top of the previous ponytail. What this is going to do is basically make it look like you've got double the amount of hair that you've got, so this is great for anyone with fine hair, and it just makes your ponytail really full and glam."
