Kim Kardashian has insisted she didn't do anything unhealthy to lose 16lbs in three weeks for the Met Gala.
The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star, 41, wore Marilyn Monroe's dress that the actress donned 60 years ago to sing happy birthday to then-president John F Kennedy on his 45th birthday.
While Kim had quite the task when it came to getting her hands on the iconic gown, it also proved difficult for the star to squeeze into it as she dropped a staggering 16lbs before storming the Met Gala red carpet.
The reality TV star has now finally broken her silence on the Met Gala transformation, comparing it to that of Christian Bale's extreme weight loss for his role in The Machinist.
The mum-of-four admitted that she would not have attended the event without the weight loss transformation.
"I just simply couldn’t have gone, which wouldn’t have mattered, It was just important to me to reach that goal."
Speaking to New York Times, Kim revealed she lost the weight through a strict diet, a sauna suit and running twice a day.
"I didn’t do anything unhealthy," she insisted.
Kim's weight loss has been compared to that of actor Christian Bale who famously lost almost five stone for his role in movie The Machinist - but the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star doesn't appreciate the comparison.
In response, Kim quipped: "OK, Christian Bale can do it for a movie role and that is acceptable.
"I wasn’t saying, "Hey everyone, why don’t you go lose this weight in a short period of time?"
The reality TV star admitted that she lost 16 lbs in just under three weeks in preparation for the star-studded event.
"It was like preparing for a role," she told Vogue.
She also revealed that the Ripley’s team 'didn’t believe' she could loose so much weight in such a short amount of time, but the 'challenge' made her even more committed.
Kim is no stranger to making an entrance at the Met Gala - and while fans were expecting an extravagant look, few could have expected what was to come in what was one of her most iconic looks to date.
In their first ever appearance as a couple, Kim walked hand-in-hand with Saturday Night Live comedian, Pete.
