Kim Kardashian's hospitalisation has drawn attention after she revealed an esophagitis diagnosis in the trailer for The Kardashians Season 8, with the health scare carrying an emotional connection to her late father Robert Kardashian's fatal oesophageal cancer.

The trailer shows Kardashian in a hospital bed as she discusses being diagnosed with esophagitis, an inflammation of the oesophagus. Another sequence appears to show her being taken towards an apparent medical procedure.
