Chris Strain reckons Kilwinning Rangers are well placed to settle an old score tomorrow – and keep their faint title hopes alive.
The Buffs head for Hurlford on a revenge mission having lost 2-0 to Darren Henderson side’s back in November.
It’s a result that still jars with Strain and he admits his side will have a point to prove at Blair Park.
But with a three-game winning streak behind Buffs - form that has lifted them to third in the WoSFL Premier - Strain believes the clash could be coming at the right time for his side.
He said: “We’re playing well and look defensively sound which I’m delighted with to be honest.
“We’ll go to Hurlford with a purpose. We want to go and show them why we are above them in the table.
“I don’t think we did ourselves justice last time round. We were down to the bare bones with injuries and Hurlford punished us.
“But we’re in a much better place now.
“We know how good a side Hurlford are – they have plenty of experience and ammo.
“But a win for us would open a seven point gap between the teams, albeit Hurlford would still have a game in hand. That’s a great incentive for us.
“We’re up to third and it’s all about trying to keep winning and see where that takes us.”
