Chris Strain has been axed as Kilwinning Rangers manager, the club has announced in a statement this afternoon.
The 42-year-old, who took the reigns at the North Ayrshire club in 2014, departs the post less than 24 hours after the Buffs drew 1-1 with Blantyre Vics.
A statement posted on the club's social media channels said: "Chris Strain has been relieved of his duties as manager of Kilwinning Rangers.
"The club would like to thank Chris for his time at the club. The effort and commitment Chris has shown to Kilwinning Rangers over his time with us has been nothing but exceptional however recent results haven’t been in line with the ambition of the club.
"The club will make further comment on the vacant manager's position in the next few days."
Strain leaves with the club sitting fifth in the West of Scotland League Premier Division.
