Last night, onlookers in the South Dublin region of Killiney and surrounding areas caught a glimpse of the large gorse fire blazing through the evening and into the late hours of Monday night.
Dublin Fire Brigade crews worked tirelessly to bring the fire under control and managed to extinguish it before any residential damage was done.
On Monday, gardai and emergency services confirmed there was a fire and that they were working to evacuate residents from their homes in the Mullins Hill area as it continued to spread into the evening.
