Updates as killer who stabbed dad in heart is sentenced to life in prison
A man who stabbed a dad-of-two in the heart outside a house party was sentenced to life in prison today.
Adam Fletcher said he was acting in self defence when he killed Paul Stenson outside a house party last December but a jury at Liverpool Crown Court found him guilty of murder earlier this year. They took just over eight hours to reach that decision.
Judge Cummings has handed Adam Fletcher a life sentence with a minimum term of 22 years. The judge warns Fletcher that even after that point he must face the parole board before any potential release.
