After an intriguing set of results in the first round in Group Three, Dublin and Kildare clash in the unfamiliar setting of UPMC Nowlan Park this evening.
With St Conleth’s Park in Newbridge closed for redevelopment, the Lilywhites have opted to take their ‘home’ tie with the Dubs to Kilkenny.
Kildare find themselves on the backfoot after they failed to defeat Sligo in their opening fixture, drawing 0-14 each in a thrilling game at Markievicz Park.
However, Leinster champions Dublin were also held to a draw last weekend when Roscommon defied the odds to come away from Croke Park with a point.
Dessie Farrell’s side defeated Kildare 0-14 to 0-12 in the Leinster SFC semi-final in April and are favourites to do so again this evening.
