Kieran Trippier insists Newcastle United were 'frustrated' with their performance despite their thumping victory at Southampton. The Magpies recorded a 4-1 victory at St Mary's on Sunday afternoon to move up to third in the Premier League.
Miguel Almiron fired the visitors in front and continued his sensational form with the only goal of the first-half. A quickfire double from Chris Wood and Joe Willock put Newcastle in control, and Bruno Guimaraes added a fourth in stoppage time after Romain Perraud netted a consolation.
It is another victory which means Eddie Howe's side have won six of their last seven Premier League fixtures. However, the head coach was not pleased with his side's display at the interval according to Trippier.

The England international told Sky Sports: "It sounds good but we're frustated in the way we played today. We played nowhere near our best.
"We all know that, the manager said that at half-time but the most important thing is the win. We move one step closer now."
It was a message echoed by Guimaraes, who also dedicated his goal to his newborn son Matteo. He added: "It's nice, I'm happy but sad it wasn't our best today. But the most important thing is to get the three points and to score for Matteo. The goal was for him, and I'm really happy."
