Katie Price’s ex-husband has fumed after claims the mum-of-five has “limited access” to her children ahead of her new bombshell documentary.
The one-off episode follows the former glamour model during the events after her drink-driving crash last year after she narrowly avoided jail.
She makes the heart-breaking claim in the programme, titled Katie Price : Trauma And Me, which comes out on Channel 4 next month.
“The hardest thing I’ve had to deal with in the recent months is having limited access to some of my kids,” said the reality TV star.
She said that “recent events” are to blame for her alleged distance from her kids as she opens up about her battle with mental health and suicidal thoughts.
“Recent events have meant I’m seeing my youngest children less and the relationship between me and their father has broken down,” she added.
“It’s not good for my mental health and it’s certainly not good for their mental health. They should be having their mum in their life. At the moment I’m stuck in this rut with Jett and Bunny and it is frustrating for me.
“You know, seven months, how has it even got to this? It’s heart-breaking and I just wish it wasn’t like this. All I can do is hope that this won’t be forever.”
A representative for ex Kieran Hayler has said: "This is categorically untrue."
“Kieran's focus remains on the children's best interest and in maintaining the children's best interests and safety at all times,” they told The Sun.
“Miss Price's version of events are never accurately portrayed. It is a shame the producers of the program did not feel it appropriate to balance the claims by interviewing the fathers who have first-hand kept the children in a loving, caring and stable environment.”
In the documentary, Katie reveals that it wasn’t the drink-driving crash that triggered her mental health struggles and that things were a lot worse just a few years ago.
“I hit a severe depression a couple of years ago, depression on top of PTSD. I was suicidal, I didn’t want to be here,” she said.
Katie Price: Trauma And Me airs on Thursday, September 8 at 9pm on Channel 4.
