Kids are 'out of control' as yob jumps on woman's car windscreen

People have expressed their anger over "out of control" yobs after a video surfaced of a boy jumping on a woman's car windscreen and smashing it.

The video, which was widely shared on social media, was taken on Thursday, April 6 on Banks Road in West Kirby, Wirral. Prior to when the footage starts, Merseyside Police said it was reported a boy ran into the road forcing a car to stop.

The video begins by showing a woman appearing to walk back to her car which was in the middle of the road. A moment later, a boy's voice can be heard saying "get in the car you little s**g".

At this point the woman can be seen slamming her car door shut and walking towards the large group of teenagers who are stood outside Subway. A car can be seen braking hard as she crosses the road.

Some of the teenagers can be seen running away in the clip as she moves towards them. Moments after this, one teenager can be seen running onto the woman's car and jumping on her windscreen.

A loud bang can be heard and people can be heard gasping and shouting "oh my god". The clip shows the teen running away and the woman's windscreen was left smashed which can be seen in the video.

The woman can be seen holding her hand to her mouth as she looks around. One person can be heard saying "youse are tight youse, you know. That's tight that". Another person added: "That was out of order".

A third person can also be heard saying "oh my god no, that was so sly". The woman, who's car was damaged, can be heard hysterically crying as people approach her appearing to help.

Near the end of the video, a teenager can be heard saying "the police are going to come, she's called" before the clip cuts off. A Merseyside Police spokesperson said they are in the early stages of the investigation and appealed for people to come forward.

They said: "During one incident yesterday (Thursday, April 6), it was reported that a male ran into the road on Banks Road, forcing a car to stop, before jumping on the windscreen.

"We are in the early stages of investigating this particular incident and would appeal for anyone who witnessed it to please get in touch."

ECHO readers took to the comments section to express their anger at how "out of control" the kids were.

Commenter davey1 said: "The only one with any guts was the woman, scum are scum but why did no one go to her, she must have felt so alone. As for the cowardly rats, have they watched and listened to themselves is this really how they want to live their lives?

"98% of them wouldnt be involved without wearing a mask, in 2023 wearing a mask is a sign of cowardice to scared to be seen as the weak baby faced little boys they are, would that stupid girl laughed if the woman had pulled a terrified child out of the back of her car. Sorry this has really angered me, I couldn't have just stood there."
