Kick streamer faces internet fury after taking ‘disrespectful’ photo at site of Amazon plane crash that killed five in Miami

A Kick streamer who posed for a photo in front of an Amazon plane crash site has come under fire for her “disrespectful” photo. The incident, which occurred on September 6 at the Miami International Airport, saw the plane overrun the runway, resulting in the death of five people and the injury of five more.

Mere hours after the crash, a streamer on Kick known as Binx arrived at the site, Dexerto reports. Binx, who first found an audience after appearing on Fishtank, arrived at the crash site with her streamer friends. They filmed themselves getting pretty close to the downed aircraft. In the stream, Binx and her friends casually approach the nose of the plane and show the destroyed wings.

At one point, Binx is seen handing her phone to one of the friends, asking them, “Can you take a picture of us?” The group then moves even closer to the crashed plane as Binx remarks, “We can touch the crashed plane.” She is then heard urging the cameraman, “Hurry, take a picture.”

The photo of Binx and her friend posing in front of the wrecked airplane has received quite a bit of attention online, and not the positive kind.

The internet calls out Binx

Commenters could hardly hide their disbelief: “WTF. People died here,” wrote one person. Another called their actions “pretty disrespectful and heartless.” On X, people went further, labeling Binx as “one of the most psychopathic deeply wrong people thats been on fishtank.” One commenter said people “hate her because she’s such a vapid and mean person,” and another compared the streamer’s blunder to that of Logan Paul in the suicide forest.

The reason for the uproar was partially because it was so soon after the incident (it happened the same day), and partially because people lost their lives. The Amazon cargo plane was landing in Miami after travelling from Puerto Rico on Sunday when it overran the runway and struck multiple vehicles on the road, according to the BBC. The plane then caught fire after the crash and five people lost their lives.

But this isn’t just a case of a streamer crossing the line. Binx’s actions weren’t just “disrespectful,” but the streamer and her friends might have actually filmed themselves breaking the law. According to Dexerto, approaching the plane might have been a violation of U.S. Code 46314, preventing people from willingly entering an aircraft or airport area. The punishment for the violation could be up to ten years in prison and possible fines.
