Khloe Kardashian shocked fans after announcing she is expecting a second child with her ex-boyfriend Tristan Thompson.
It was announced on Wednesday the baby will be born via a surrogate. The baby was conceiving in November before she discovered the basketball player had fathered another child with Maralee Nicols.
A representative for the Kardashian star confirmed the news to the Mirror, saying: "We can confirm True will have a sibling who was conceived in November.
"Khloe is incredibly grateful to the extraordinary surrogate for such a beautiful blessing. We’d like to ask for kindness and privacy so that Khloe can focus on her family."
Over the years, 38-year-old Khloe has been involved in a number of rocky relationships — from cheating scandals to drug abuse.
One of her earliest relationships was with NBA player Rashad McCants back in 2008. The relationship was short-lived as they split in January 2009.
During an episode of Khloe's Keeping Up with the Kardashian's spin-off series Kourtney And Khloe Take Miami, she claimed that Rashad, now 37, had cheated on her.
The NBA player later told the New York Post the claim had been invented for the series and said they "made the whole thing up".
Khloe later moved on with American footballer Derrick Ward. They started dating in 2009 when he was a running back for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
They were spotted on holiday together in Mexico in April 2009 as they celebrated Kourtney Kardashian 's 30th birthday. Their relationship ended shortly after.
Khloe went on to have a turbulent relationship with former Los Angeles Lakers player Lamar Odom.
The pair met at a party for Lamar's then-teammate Metta Sandiford-Artest in August 2009. They started dating later that month and tied the knot exactly one month from the date they met.
The couple had their own TV show together called Khloe & Lamar which ran for two seasons.
Their relationship seemed to get off to a great start, but in 2013 Lamar was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol. He was sentenced to three years probation and was required to complete an alcohol abuse treatment programme.
Khloe then filed for divorce in December 2013.
The next year, Khloe alleged her husband had cheated on her during an episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians.
She said: "Last year on my birthday, I lied to everyone, because I had to lie and say I was with my husband, when in fact my husband was missing with another girl."
In April 2015, the divorce was threatened following a series of delays as Lamar refused to sign off on the paperwork. In August of that year, Lamar reportedly ambushed Khloe on her way to a spin class, leaving her shaken.
Lamar's personal problems became worse in 2015 when he was found unconscious at the Love Ranch brothel in Nevada. He had reportedly been using cocaine in the days up to the incident.
Lamar had to be placed on life support while in a coma after suffering multiple heart attacks, strokes and kidney failure.
Khloe subsequently withdrew her divorce filing in order to make her husband's medical decisions while he was incapacitated.
He later recovered, with the reality TV star again filing for divorce in May 2016.
After attempting to end her marriage to Lamar the first time, Khloe started an on-off relationship with rapper French Montana in 2013.
They split for good at the end of 2014, with Khloe later admitting she had gotten into a serious relationship too soon after splitting from Lamar.
Khloe's next serious relationship was with NBA star James Harden. They met in June 2015 at a party thrown by Kim Kardashian 's then-husband Kanye West.
James helped Khloe through Lamar's health scares but they separated in February 2016.
After James, Khloe was rumoured to have enjoyed a brief relationship with Trey Songz. They were seen together at her birthday party in June 2016 and were linked the following month.
Their relationship, however, didn't last very long. In the same year, Khloe started dating Tristan Thompson, with whom she had an on-off romance for six years.
In September 2017, it was revealed the par were expecting their first child together. Just days before their daughter was due to be born in April 2018, Tristan was seen kissing another woman.
True Thompson was born on April 12, 2008 and in May, Khloe confirmed she would be continuing her relationship with Tristan.
She called it quits in 2019 after he was reported to have kissed a close family friend Jordyn Woods at a party.
They were reunited and subsequently got back together in 2020 as they moved in together during the Coronavirus pandemic. But continued to be on and off as in the latest series of the show, Khloe was seen considering reuniting with Tristan.
The couple split last year when it was revealed that Tristan had fathered a child with another woman, Maralee Nichols.
